News and Announcements

VILFHA has discussed with Field Hockey BC and have been advised that the Public Health Order pertaining to Youth Sport applies to VILFHA because of the youth in the program.

This requires all participants in supervisory roles to be double vaccinated. This includes all coaches, managers, umpires and ALL PLAYERS 19 yrs and over. VILFHA has included all players over 19 yrs because there are teams within our league who do not have coaches or managers (or have player/managers) and adults on the team often take on a de facto supervisory role when playing with or against younger players.

While vaccine is not mandatory for players under 19 yrs VILFHA Executive strongly encourages all players to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

We will be calling all team contacts to discuss as well.

All participants 19 yrs and over must show proof of full vaccination at the field entrance.

All umpires, coaches, supervisors, managers must also show proof of full vaccination at the field entrance (this applies to individuals <19 yrs as well)
